For the mask to be effective it must be used correctly as follows. The use and removal of hygienic masks for children should be supervised by an adult.

Placing the mask.

It is recommended to follow the following steps:

  • Wash hands with soap and water or rub with a hydroalcoholic solution before handling the mask.
  • Identify the top of the mask.
  • Position the mask on the face, at the height of the nose. If a nasal clamp is available, adjust it to the nose.
  • Hold the mask from the outside and hold the head harness behind it or on both sides of the ears, without crossing them.
  • Lower the bottom of the mask to the chin.
  • Pinch the nasal clamp with both hands to fit your nose.
  • Check that the mask is positioned correctly. For this it is necessary to check the sealing and the absence of respiratory discomfort.
  • Once adjusted, do not touch the mask with your hands. If the user needs to touch the mask, he must first wash his hands with soap and water or rub them with a hydroalcoholic solution.

Removing the mask.

To avoid contamination when removing a mask, follow these steps:

  • Remove protective gloves.
  • Wash hands with soap and water or rub with a hydroalcoholic solution.
  • Remove the mask without touching the front of the mask.
  • If the mask is to be reused see the section "Washing and drying the mask", and if it is to be disposed of definitively see the section "Removing the mask".
